'Sunflowers and Rainbows' May 2020
Acrylic and Emulsion on Canvas This piece was commissioned by an old friend who needed some colour for her walls. And with a brief as open as just, colour on the walls, I decided to include my favourite flower, these gorgeous yellow sunflowers and a macrame rainbow made to honor the incredible NHS and key workers during this covid19 crisis. The friend who commissioned this piece is studying to become a midwife and when she graduates she'll be saving women and brand new babies lives everyday and I hope this rainbow emblem lasts past this crisis to show constant support for our NHS, that we could not be luckier to have and whom should always be appreciated not just in times of difficulty! |
'Victory Woods' April 2020

This piece was created to repaint a painting that a customer damaged. This was originally an abstract piece that I painted 7 years ago and the owner damaged in storage, this piece was then commissioned using the same frame but new canvas and commissioning this as a new work as a replacement. It was lovely to paint a landscape local to the owner and seeing their happiness at the new work makes me so happy!
'Plants on the Patio' April 2020

This piece was a very happy birthday commission, the brief was to create a piece with many different plants to hang in the home of a wonderful couple and so this piece was created in the garden in the glorious sunshine to capture a bit of that sun and transfer it into the piece and therefore onto the customers walls.
It was absolutely wonderful to create and I can't wait to see a picture of it installed in their home!

This joyful piece was created for three women who each wanted a piece to hang in their respective homes that symbolised an aspect of their individual personality and style, but that also functioned as a triptych to show the importance of their lifelong friendship and connection to one another.
